Hey guys!!

Happy Saturday!

I hope you’re all doing okay,  now that we officially transitioned from ECQ to MECQ here in NCR and in a few provinces, and GCQ in most of the areas in the country, a lot of commercial establishments are starting to prepare to go back to business, one of them is Hotel Sogo.

In preparation for the hotel industry’s ‘new normal’ Hotel Sogo is implementing various ways of ensuring the safety and security of its guests and employees against the spread of Covid19 virus.

Hotel Sogo adapted the use of ultraviolet (UV) lights as part of its So Clean approach in disinfecting its facilities and intensified the procedures from checking-in to ordering of food while inside the facility. The use of ultraviolet (UV) lights is highly effective at disinfection, particularly the UVC rays that are capable of killing bacteria, germs, and viruses.

The hotel also made sure that their employees have extra level of protection from the virus through their So Good approach, by giving the employees vitamins to boost their immunity and provided personalized PPEs. The employees have also undergone mandatory medical check-up and Covid19 testing to make sure that they are not infected by the Covid19 virus.

Also, to make sure the guests are So Safe during their stay, Hotel Sogo initiates prevention methods like mandatory temperature checks, passing through disinfecting tent, and use of disinfecting foot tray. Hand sanitizers are also placed in common areas, and social distancing will be strictly observed, from the receiving process, elevator use up until going to their rooms. Facilities are also redesigned and modified to protect the guests and employees, like placing the glass panel divider on top of the front desk.

All of Hotel Sogo’s efforts are in its ‘new normal’ playbook that shows the steps it has undertaken to protect its partners, guests and employees. The video playbook was shared to different government agencies like the Department of Health (DOH), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and the Department of Tourism (DOT), so that it could serve as a good example to other establishments in planning for their preparations reopening.

And that’s it for this story,
