Hey guys!
TGIF! I hope you’re all well.
I recently gained a lot of weight and I decided to start a healthy diet and all that jazz.. But we all know that eating healthy is one of the most hardest things to commit to, eating is sooo easy but add the word healthy and it’s now a hard task. 😂 One of my delemas is the ingredients that I need are really hard to find, or when I don’t feel like making something, it’s kinda rare to see a nearby stall or shop that offers healthy food options, that’s why I’m really hyped when I was invited by Jar’d IN Salad Bar to checkout their menu.
Jar’d IN is a small Salad Bar that officially opened yesterday, May 31, they’re located along Congressional Ave. Q.C. (So near to where I live) you can order super delish salad bowls in-store, but what made me hyped-up is what they mainly offer, SALAD IN A JAR!!! That means I can take my salad with me anywhere, and I can store it in the fridge and eat it anytime!
For their opening, they are currently offering five (5) different salad bowl variants, all made to order, and will be crafted by their salad artist while you wait.
Here’s a peek at the salad variants currently available in Jar’d IN;
First up is the Cowboy Crispy Chicken Ceasar Salad made with romaine lettuce as base with bacon caesar dressing, topped with fried chicken fingers, avocado, (optional) cherry tomato, hardboiled egg, croutons, parmesan, and bacon bits. So yum! This is actually my fave. 😉
Next up we have here is the Amazonia Grain PowerBowl (Peruvian/Brazillian) made with romain lettuce, kale(optional), and basil pesto yogurt dressing as base, topped with chicken breast, red rice, corn, chickpeas, toasted red almonds, and feta cheese.
Third is the very refreshing Vietnamese Banhmi Pomelo Salad made with ice lettuce, red cabbage, green cabbage, and pineapple nuoc cham dressingbas base, topped with pork ham, chicken, crispy sotanghon, cucumber, carrot, radish, pomelo, crushed peanuts, cilantro, and a drizzle of hoisin sauce.
Fourth one is perfect for those who like fruits on their salad, Greek, made with romaine lettuce, arugula, and honey balsamic vinaigrette dressing as base, topped with roasted chicken, brown sugar walnuts, bell pepper, red onion, cherry tomato, grapes, watermelon, and feta cheese.
Last but not the least, (though I was not able to take a pic of this one) is the Cancun BBQ Burito Bowl (Mexican) made with romaine lettuce and basil pesto yogurt dressing as base, topped with chicken breast tossed in bbq sauce, red rice, avocado, black beans, cherry tomato, corn, nacho chips, and cilantro drizzled with bbq sauce.
Those five are just their initial offerings, they’ll add more options eventually. Their prices ranges from Php220-330.
Juices: Ampalaya-mango, Lemonade-chili, and Carrot-ginger. |
Aside from those yummy salad bowls, they also offer some healthy juice drinks and good tea too! My fave drink is lemonade-chili juice because of the subtle kick from the chili.
Greek, Cowboy Crispy Chicken Ceasar Salad, and Vietnamese Banhmi Pomelo Salad In Jars. |
Aside from walking-in at the store to get your salad-in-a-jar fix, they also deliver at nearby areas (for now).
